Sept 2008 Show Application Having trouble opening the application? You'll need to:



Please fill your application out BY HAND and mail or fax back to our office. Current and
new members both must turn in completed show applications by the application
deadline in order to avoid the increased show fee.
NO EXCEPTIONS. Please send in
your application as soon as possible to improve your chances of getting a preferred
location for the show. This will also allow us to let the buyers know where you will be
located. Please remember that although we try, we cannot always fulfill requests for
room placement.
If your application is not legible and filled out
IN FULL it will not be accepted.

Show Hours:
Room/Booth setup: After 4pm, the day before the start of the show
Day 1: 9am to 8pm
Day 2: 9am to 5pm
Do NOT schedule transportation if it conflicts with these hours!

Post-Registration:
After you register and pay your fees and rooms have been assigned, we will send
you your room number, our retailer mailing list updated from our previous show,
and retailer mailing labels for you to print out if you wish.
In order to have a successful show, please make as many appointments as
possible. Do not rely on passing traffic alone.



Show Setup:
Check into you hotel room after 4pm and you may begin setting up for the show.
The Chicago Shoe Expo and the Embassy Suites do not provide additional lighting
beyond the normal room lighting. We do not provide display racks. You must bring
these items on your own. If you need display tables, you may rent them for $35 each
on your registration application.
When arranging your room and tables, please do not move the hotel furniture. If
cords come unplugged, the hotel maybe charge your room a $25 maintenance fee.
If any furniture is broken, you will receive a bill from the hotel.
DON'T FORGET!!!
You MUST pick up your show packet before the start of the show. Please pick yours
up at the Chicago Shoe Expo registration desk on the 2nd floor of the hotel. All
important information, including your next show application, will be in this packet.

Important Rules:
  • Each person working the show must register separately and pay the
    participation fee.  Rooms will be check during the show.  Any room found in
    violation will be charged a fine of $250.
  • Any room/booth that is found closed during the hours of the show will be
    charged a fine of $250.
  • If your application is submitted after the deadline, your participation fee
    increases by $50. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Sleeping Rooms:
If you are showing out of a hotel room, this will also act as your sleeping room. Each
room is a suite. You will be showing out of the front living room area, and there is a
small hallway leading back to the bedroom/sleeping area. If you are a rep and need
a sleeping room other than your regular show room or if you are showing in a booth,
you are responsible for making your own reservations. If we have extra rooms
available at our buyer's rate, we will open those rooms to exhibitors two weeks
prior to the show. Contact us then to make arrangements.
